Real Madrid could be set to make some changes in attack this January in a transfer move that could benefit Liverpool in their attempt to sign Karim Benzema.
Benzema has long been linked with an exit from the Bernabeu, and now looks increasingly likely to be on his way out of the club this winter as Liverpool hope to pounce for his signature, with the Reds still eyeing a replacement to fill the boots of former star Luis Suarez after his summer move to Barcelona.
Cavani could be a good signing for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, with the Uruguayan establishing himself as one of Europe’s top strikers during his time at previous club Napoli, though he has failed to live up to his best form at PSG and is understood to be available.
This would, however, be a blow for Arsenal as they had also hoped to be in the running to sign Cavani to improve their options upfront in the absence of injured duo Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott.
